Course information and materials:

Office Hours:   Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 2:30 - 3:30, and by appointment

Textbook:   Algebraic Topology by Allen Hatcher. This is available for free at his website, but the printed edition is inexpensive ($34, for 550 pages) and worth having.

Grading scheme:   homework: 20%,   exams I, II: 25% each,   final exam: 30%

Nov. 30:   School is closed again tomorrow, so you can turn in your exams on Monday.

Nov. 30:   Since school is closed today, you can leave your exams in my mailbox tomorrow (in the fourth floor office).

Nov. 21:   The second take-home exam is here. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. (I decided to scrap problem 31 - it seemed a little pointless.)

Oct. 30:   I will be out of town later this week and Dr. Özaydin will teach Thursday's class. Since I will be away, I will not be able to hold office hours on Wednesday or Thursday.

Oct. 9:   The first take-home exam will be due on Thursday October 19. The exam is here.

Oct. 2:   There was some confusion about the due date for the most recent homework. So, it is now due Oct. 5 (thursday).

Sep. 25:   I will be out of town this week starting on tuesday afternoon. So, we will have class tomorrow (tuesday) but not on thursday. For the same reason, I will not be holding office hours this week.
