Dec. 1:   Here is the last homework assignment, for extra credit, due thursday December 8: section 28, #4, 6; section 29, #1, 8; section 31, #5, 7; and the following: prove that the countable product [0,1]^\omega is compact.

Oct. 31:   My office hours will be changed for this week (but will return to normal November 8). For this week they are: Tuesday 2-3, Wednesday 12:30-1:30, and Thursday 2:30-3:30.

Oct. 31:   Class tomorrow (tuesday) is cancelled.
