Announcements:

May 15:   I have posted grades on D2L. Have a good summer!

Apr. 24:   Wednesday May 13, 1:30 pm, is the final deadline to turn in any exercises, papers, revisions, etc. that you wish me to look over. (This is the official final exam time for our course.) I will be in my office then.

Apr. 13:   Next class will be the first of the student presentations, which will continue through the rest of the semester. Please make a habit of coming to listen - this is part of your participation, and it is only fair to ensure that everyone has a decent audience.

Mar. 6:   Here is a tentative schedule for the presentations. Let me know by email or in person what your preferences are, and I'll try to fill them in.

Feb. 20:   I'd like you to turn in solutions to the Feb. 11/Feb. 16 exercises on Friday Feb. 27. If you need to look at the notes for this, see Prof. Remling's notes on the references page.

Feb. 13:   Here are some thoughts on paper topics.

Feb. 9:   I'd like you to turn in some solutions to exercises on Friday Feb. 13.

Feb. 4:   Today at 5 pm there will be an entertaining talk by Kimball Martin, in PHSC 1105. Also: free pizza!

Feb. 4:   You should have a look at the OU Math Club and its blog.

Jan. 20:   Anyone who misses the first two class meetings will be dropped from the course automatically. If you have a good reason for missing both classes, let me know immediately.

Jan. 20:   Add-Drop Procedure: For those of you wishing to join the class, there is nothing I can do at the moment, since it is already over-enrolled. If you want to try to get in, you must attend both of the first two class meetings, and ask me to put you on the list. Sometime during the second week of class, things will be worked out and you should find out, by Wednesday January 28, whether you got in. I should point out that the decision is not made by me, but by others who have more complete information.
