Announcements:

May 15:   I have posted grade information on D2L. Have a good summer!

May 15:   Solutions to the final exam are here.

May 14:   I will be in my office tomorrow (Friday) from 2 to 4 pm. I should have your exams graded by then, and you can come look yours over if you like. (Any time during the next year is fine too.) Also, I plan to post your exam and course grades on D2L.

May 11:   Here is a grading scale, if you want to see how you are doing and what you need.

May 10:   My office hours this week will be Monday 2:30 - 3:30 and Wednesday 12:30 - 2:30. The exam will cover everything covered in the first three exams, and sections 8.1 and 8.5.

Apr. 30:   Partial solutions to the third exam are here. I will add problem 4 on Monday.

Apr. 29:   Many people had trouble with problem 4 from the exam. I will let you redo this problem for extra credit. Please give it to me by Monday May 4 at the latest, and keep it separate from your homework which is due then. Here is the statement of the problem.

Apr. 22:   The third exam will cover sections 3.5, 3.6, 2.4, 4.1, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, and 5.4.

Mar. 31:   Solutions to the second exam are here.

Mar. 10:   Some of the homework problems I assigned today involve things we didn't yet cover in class. So, I have moved the due date for most of them. Have a look at the homework page.

Feb. 17:   Solutions to the first exam are here.

Feb. 4:   Today at 5 pm there will be an entertaining talk by Kimball Martin, in PHSC 1105. Also: free pizza!

Feb. 4:   You should have a look at the OU Math Club and its blog.

Jan. 20:   Anyone who misses the first two class meetings will be dropped from the course automatically. If you have a good reason for missing both classes, let me know immediately.

Jan. 20:   Add-Drop Procedure: For those of you wishing to join the class, there is nothing I can do at the moment, since it is already over-enrolled. If you want to try to get in, you must attend both of the first two class meetings, and ask me to put you on the list. Sometime during the second week of class, things will be worked out and you should find out, by Wednesday January 28, whether you got in. I should point out that the decision is not made by me, but by others who have more complete information.
