Abstract
I'll discuss a notion of a Cannon-Thurston map for the complex of curves of a surface with one puncture in terms of the Birman exact sequence. Then I'll describe how this can be used to prove that the Gromov boundary is locally path connected. This is joint work with Mahan Mj and Saul Schleimer.
