The Mathematics Department anticipates making a number of postdoctoral appointments. These carry a 2 + 1 teaching load, that is, three courses per academic year, and postdoctoral appointees are expected to pursue active research programs. Although renewals of the appointments are year-to-year, the Department expects each appointment to continue for a total of three years. The positions will be filled in Spring 2010. Those interested in the postdoctoral appointments should send application materials, including at least a CV and three letters of recommendation. Preference is given to recent PhDs, to those who can give evidence of ability to carry out good teaching, and to those whose research interests are compatible with those of the current faculty.
